UAE restaurants can return to 100 percent capacity

The UAE has relaxed the precautionary capacity and social distancing regulations that were introduced during COVID-19. In line with the decision of the Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, the limitations on restaurant operations have now been removed.

Restaurants can return to pre-COVID-19 conditions, with an end to the mandatory minimum distance of at least one metre between tables.

Shisha cafés are also back to 100 percent capacity, but as per UAE law, smoking areas must allow space for two square metres per person.

Staff and diners need to still wear face masks when walking around a restaurant and sanitisation protocols will remain in place.
