Ratings will be revealed at the second-annual Gault&Millau UAE Gala on April 27

The second annual edition of the Gault&Millau UAE Guide will be released on April 27 during a Gala dinner and awards ceremony at Burj Al Arab Jumeirah.

Gault&Millau’s anonymous investigators have spent the past nine months dining across the UAE in order to rate the finest restaurants in the country.

More than 200 restaurants were visited, including every venue included in the inaugural 2022 Guide, as well as those who didn’t quite make the cut last time, plus new openings.

From those reviews, 133 restaurants have made it into the Gault&Millau UAE 2023 Guide. In 2022, 130 restaurants were included in the guide. Of the 2023 selection, 21 are in Abu Dhabi and 112 in Dubai.

Gault&Millau investigators are looking for fine-dining experiences, with special attention paid to chef-led establishments, where chefs put fantastic ingredients to their best use and show excellent technique. Other positive attributes are well-drilled, personable service teams, well thought-out wine, champagne and drinks menus, and having an eye on sustainability.
