Prestigious restaurant guide Gault&Millau UAE will reveal its second annual ratings in April. The announcements will be made at an exclusive gala ceremony at Dubai’s world-famous Burj Al Arab Jumeirah.
Tickets are not yet on sale for the event yes, but those interested in attending can email the team at gala@gaultmillauae.com to inquire about the ceremony.
On March 15, Gault&Millau will also announce the complete list of restaurants that will be included in the Gault&Millau UAE 2023 guide. Tickets will also officially go on sale on that day.
Gault&Millau is one of the world’s most respected fine dining critique brands. It was introduced into the region in 2022 with a star-studded party on Burj Al Arab’s lawn in April, before the inaugural Gala took place at the iconic hotel in June.
Restaurants are reviewed anonymously by a team of secret investigators and scored out of 20 based on top-secret several criteria including the quality of the food, service, drinks, atmosphere and the overall restaurant experience.
Those who score above 10 will make it into the guide. The highest-rated restaurants will receive between one to five ‘toques’ in recognition of their excellence.
Over the past nine months, The Gault&Millau UAE’s independent and anonymous team visited over 200 restaurants in their quest to compile venues that will ultimately be included in the 2023 guide.
Those in attendance at the limited-availability ceremony will also be the first to receive the second edition of the Gault&Millau UAE guide.
Awards will also be handed out to individuals and restaurants from across the UAE’s culinary scene in a range of categories.
Last year’s winners included Atlantis, The Palm’s Ossiano as Restaurant of the Year, gaining three toques, with the restaurant’s Grégoire Berger winning Chef of the Year.
