The sixteenth edition of the Dubai International Food Safety Conference will be held from 1-3 November 2022 at the Dubai
International Convention and Exhibition Center with expected participation of over 3000 professionals from the food industry, regulatory authorities, and academia. Dubai International Food Safety Conference is organized by the Food Safety Department of Dubai Municipality, and the event serves as a single and unique platform for collaborative learning and partnerships in food safety in the region. This
year’s theme, ‘Future Directions in Food Safety and Security,’ will focus on addressing the challenges in the food systems
from both local and global perspective. The event will bring together the regulatory authorities and the stakeholders of the
food ecosystem, such as the food producers, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers with an aim to enhance collaborative and partnership models essential to meet the food safety, sufficiency and sustainability objectives. There will be More than 100 scientific presentations with a global representation from regulators, researchers, students, and the food industry.
The theme of this year’s conference is centered on Future Directions in Food Safety and Food Security with an aim to highlight the importance of keeping food systems safe and sustainable. Talks on 1st of November will address the challenges in food systems and focus on ways and means to mitigate those challenges. Dubai Municipality has also taken special efforts to ensure that there are programs that smaller food businesses can benefit from.
