The highly respected, innovative global restaurant group behind acclaimed international venues including Amazonico, Coya, and Zuma.
Sealing its reputation as the go-to destination for luxury hospitality experiences, three ground breaking concepts are set to launch at ICD Brookfield Place, Dubai, later this year from D.ream, the highly respected, innovative global restaurant group behind acclaimed international venues including Amazonico, Coya, and Zuma.
Following Paris and London, D.ream’s renowned culinary concepts Bar des Prés and Il Gattopardo will expand their global presence with openings on the 51st floor, extending over 18,000 sq ft. They will be complemented by a spectacular 1920’s style, Art Deco bar, named ‘1920’, spanning 4,000 sq ft on the 52nd floor. These three refined, yet vibrant concepts, collectively promise unique culinary experiences with a thoughtfully curated programme of mixology and entertainment, for residents and visitors alike.
Helmed by acclaimed Chef Cyril Lignac, Bar des Prés brings a sophisticated fusion of Franco/East Asian creations to the Dubai dining scene. Lignac is a culinary powerhouse, lauded for his entrepreneurial flair and cult following from his captivating on-screen appearances. This fourth opening from Bar des Prés (following London’s Mayfair and two sites in Paris), showcases exceptional, seasonal ingredients whilst respecting traditional techniques. Combining Lignac’s French know-how with Japanese individuality, diners can expect dishes such as Green asparagus with caramelised miso; Crunchy crab & avocado galette with madras and exciting combinations of Native lobster salad, strawberries, elderflower & fresh almond alongside a selection of delicate sushi plates. The dessert menu honours Cyril Lignac’s original training as a master pastry chef, whilst celebrating French classics such as Guanaja chocolate soufflé and Pecan praline mille-feuille. The restaurant will feature an enchanting Parisian-inspired dining area that is open for lunch and dinner.
Il Gattopardo, inspired by its namesake novel, will embody the understated, refined luxury of the Italian riviera and honour a heyday of frivolity and seduction. The design will reference the sophisticated charm and cosmopolitan energy of Milan and Venice, creating a transformative ambience reminiscent of a golden era; La Dolce Vita. Taking guests from noon until late at night, Il Gattopardo will provide the ideal backdrop for long lunches or late-night aperitivo where the intimate Lounge will come to life as the music is turned up and the lights are dimmed and resident DJs entice revellers with curated music programming. The menu will feature modern interpretations on Italian classics from across Italy, paying homage to seasonal ingredients and celebrating the abundant produce with dishes including Gamberi, Sicilian Mazara prawns, citrus zest chicory, extra virgin olive oil and Stracciatella agnolotti, roasted tomato cream, 24 month DOP Parmesan alongside fresh flavourful seafood and decadent desserts. The kitchen will be under the guidance of award-winning Executive Chef Massimo Pasquarelli, born and raised in Abruzzo, Southern Italy, with over 25 years of culinary experience.
The 52nd floor bar ‘1920’ will transport you back in time, here a new Art Deco bar will share the 8,500 sq ft with private, luxury event spaces, designed for social, business and leisure experiences, redefining the art of entertainment as the pinnacle of luxury nightlife. The elevated 78-seat bar is set to become the city’s ultimate observatory, offering guests unparalleled views across the cityscape, vibrant evening entertainment, and a sophisticated drinks menu spotlighting creative cocktail mixology and vintage champagnes. With a sleek, sexy design inspired by the Manhattan skyscrapers of the 1920’s, the Art Deco style fuses exceptional craftsmanship and handcrafted ornaments with modernity and industrial elements to foster an unforgettable environment where business and pleasure combine.
Behind the design of these new hospitality experiences is acclaimed Spanish interior designer and artist Lázaro Rosa-Violán. A trained painter and architect, Rosa-Violán is known for his ability to weave together the past and present, creating unique and captivating culinary, cocktail and event spaces. His approach promises to transform Dubai’s iconic cityscape with these exciting new destinations.
