Behind one of the UAE’s largest and most influential hospitality portfolios is Max Grenard, Corporate Food & Beverage Director at wasl Hospitality & Leisure. Combining the instinct of a chef with the vision of an asset manager, Max oversees more than 250 F&B operations across the UAE—encompassing over 120 restaurants, luxury venues, central production facilities, and seven golf clubs.

His portfolio spans world-renowned brands such as Mandarin Oriental, One&Only, Hyatt, and Marriott, alongside iconic dining destinations including STAY by Yannick Alléno, Tasca by José Avillez, carine, Attiko, and Drift Beach Dubai. Partnering with internationally acclaimed chefs and leading hospitality groups, he continues to raise the benchmark for dining in the region.

Known for identifying emerging trends early, Max played a pivotal role in bringing Topgolf Dubai to the region and expanding wasl’s presence across Abu Dhabi. Beyond operations, he is a champion of industry innovation—contributing to Dubai’s Food Tech Valley sustainability initiative and leading the development of Viya, wasl’s digital lifestyle platform.

Originally trained as a chef, Max’s career spans Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Since moving to Dubai in 2008, he has evolved from leading top kitchens to steering one of the region’s most dynamic hospitality portfolios, where culinary excellence, technology, and commercial vision converge.
